Setup and how to play
The 21-inch Labyrinth
A 21-inch hand-stained birch ball maze: get all three ball bearings into the center. Here's how to set it up and play it solo, head to head or as a team.
What's in the box
- 21-inch hand-stained birch labyrinth board
- Three ball bearings
- Linen storage bag
Setup
-
Unpack the board
Take the labyrinth out of its linen bag and keep the three ball bearings together so none roll away.
-
Make some room
It's 21 inches across, so clear a table or find a spot where you can hold it in both hands and tilt it.
-
Set the balls at the start
Put all three ball bearings at the start of the maze before every round.
How to play
Solo against the clock
Start a timer and stop it when all three balls are in the center. Most people finish in under five minutes; see how far under you can get.
Head to head
With two boards, count down from three and race. First player with all three balls in the center wins.
Challenge finish
Make it the last stage of your own challenge course, the way the show finishes with a table maze. First team to land all three balls wins.

Where this challenge comes from
This is a replica of the labyrinth that finished the Rice Race challenge on Survivor: Winners at War (Season 40, Episode 6). Table mazes like it are one of the show's favorite finishes, used again as recently as Survivor 49 (Episode 6). Ours is a tabletop size so you can play it at home.
